Metal seated segment ball valve is a quarter-turn one-way valve for on-off or control applications. The flow path of ball is designed with a special V notch. With this special V notch, metal seated segment ball valves have precise flow characteristics. Moreover, since the v notch ball and seat is alloy seated, valve will generate a strong shear force between ball and seat when valve is closing. Therefore, TEKO’s metal seated segment ball valves are very suitable for applications where medium contains fiber or hard solid particles. Typical applications and fields are listed as the following: Pulp & Paper, Petrochemical, Printing & Dying,Pharmacy, Beverage & Food, Slurry.

Design Features:

1. Integral one piece body:

Because of Integral one piece body design, valve is easy to assemble and maintenance, and medium can flow very smooth with little frictional resistance. Wafer and flange connection ends are both available per customer’s requirement.

2. Special designed segment v notch ball:

TEKO metal seated segment ball valves have a special designed v notch ball. The segment V-notch ball provides strong shear force and tight sealing. Depending on different applications, sealing face of segment ball can be coated with chromium carbide, tungsten carbide, and nitriding treatment. These hardfaced coating can protect segment ball from damage caused by corrosion, abrasion and high temperature. The sealing face of segment ball is well ground, which lower operating torque of metal seated segment ball valve and ensure tight sealing performance.

3. Seat with hard face coated:

The sealing face of seat is coated with stellite, chromium carbide or tungsten carbide. It is also well ground, the leakage class can be up to Class V as per FCI 70-2.

Besides metal seat, RPTFE, Devlon and PEEK seats are also available for TEKO segment ball valves.
